Pre-Summer National Championship Clinic
Great opportunity to get extra training for Summer National Championship 2016! We would like to welcome beginning through advanced fencers who wish to prepare for Summer Nationals or work on their competitive skills.
5 Days of High Performance Training with famous sabre coaches and fencing masters George Pogosov and Grigory Kirienko. Both of them are Gold Olympic Medalists and know how to win medals on any competition. They will share this skills with you!
Also highly experienced coaches, who are working with Stanford Varsity Team, will be teaching foil and epee fencers.
Daily schedule: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm
Each clinic day include:
-Practice and competitive fencing bouts
-Fencing strategies and technique
-Intensive footwork and bladework
-Special fitness exercises
We’ll provide lunch, fruits, water.
Clinic cost $700.
Our coaches:
George Pogosov
George is the Co-Head Coach of the Stanford University Men’s and Women’s Fencing Teams. He is the Head Coach of the Cardinal Fencing Center.
His athletic accomplishments are too numerous to mention and include 1992 Olympic Team Champion, 7 times Team World Champion, Individual Junior World Champion, Individual World
Championship Silver Medalist, 1988 Olympic Team Silver Medalist, and many times World Cup Champion. He has more than 22 years of experience as a fencer and 23 years of experience as a coach.
Grigory Kirienko
Grigory is the Sabre Coach of the Cardinal Fencing Center.
His athletic accomplishments include 1992 and 1996 Olympic Team Champion, 7 times World Champion, 2 times World Championship Silver Medalist, and many times World Cup Champion.He has more than 25 years of experience as a fencer and 10 years of experience as a coach.
Valeriy Naulo
Valeriy is an Assistant Foil & Epee Coach of the Stanford University Men’s and Women’s Fencing Teams. He is a Foil & Epee Coach at the Cardinal Fencing Center.Valeriy has a Master’s Degree in Physical Education with focus in Fencing from the Ukrainian National University of Physical Education in Kiev.

Pre-Season 2016-2017 Clinic
We renew our all weapons Pre-Season Clinic and would like to welcome beginning through advanced fencers who wish to prepare for new fencing season 2016-2017!
Each clinic day will include: fencing footwork, conditioning, bladework, and bouting.
Grigory Kirienko and Valeriy Naulo will be teaching at this clinic.
Dates: August 8-12
Time: 10am – 1:30pm
Clinic cost: $450
We’ll provide lunch.
